It serves for color quality control, analysis, and sample testing. different calibers (4 mm, 8 mm, 16 mm) cater to various measurement needs. The 0.16 in (4 mm) version is designed for small and special surfaces. the 0.31 in (8 mm) version is for general-purpose color difference meter for flat surfaces. The 0.63 in (16 mm) version is ideal for special textured and large objects.
